Goods carriage permit
As per the KMV or CMV Act, there are specific procedures that need to be satisfied for getting the goods carriage permit. The step by step procedures are as follows:
Application & Documentation Needed
- Application form as per KMV Form 37
- CMV Form 46 approved certified application
- All documents required for vehicles like fitness, registration, insurance, tax card, emission certificate
Fee & Tax Payable
- INR 50 as specified by the authority
- Payable by Demand Drafts in certain states
Validity for Goods & Carriage Permit
The goods carriage permit issued by KMV Form 45 has a validity of five years from the date of issue and can be renewed beyond that.
National Permit
The following are the procedures that need to be fulfilled as per the KMV or CMV Act as per the Authority of Road Transport.
Procedure for obtaining national permit
Applications & Documents required
- CMV Form 45 approved application form
- CMV Form 46 approved specifications
- All documents required for vehicles like fitness, registration, insurance, tax card, emission certificate
- A minimum of 3 states can be chosen from for permit status
Fees and Tax payable
- Process fee - INR 1100
- Fee for authorization procedures – INR 500
- Demand drafts for states opted for by the applicant
Validity for national permit
- The permit issued as per Form 50 of KMV has a validity of 5 years from the year of issue.
- Authorization as per CMV Form 47 has a validity of one year from the year of issue.
