What are the Documents Required for Vehicle Registration in Delhi

You have to register your private or non-commercial vehicle by registering authority in Delhi according to the provision of Motor Vehicle Act of 1988. It is not allowed to run your vehicle before completing its Vehicle Registration in Delhi. It must be noted that there are self-registering dealers who have registration powers. They will deliver your vehicle once the registration is completed. In order to register your private or commercial vehicle, you need to approach MLO Office, Transport Department, Hill Road, New Delhi. In order to register your goods carrier with a loading capacity of 3000 kgs, you should get in touch with MLO Office, Burari. To register your TSR/Taxi, you should get in touch with MLO Office (Taxi and Auto Rikshaw Unit). Once the registration number has been allotted by the concerned authority, the applicant receives the fee receipt on same day. Registration Certificate – Form 23 – is collected following the readying of smart card.  

In order to Apply for RTO in Delhi, you need to have Form 20 fully filled up, Form 21 which should be issued by vehicle dealer, Form 22 issued by the vehicle manufacturer, attested photocopy of legal vehicle insurance policy, attested photocopy of address proof in which the vehicle will be registered, Form 34 properly signed by the financier and owner, one-time road tax, Form 60 and 61, Pan Card and prescribed fee meant for registration purpose. At the same time, you need to have M.C.D parking fee receipt, dealer invoice and manufacturer invoice in order to register your vehicle.
