Mumbai gets new RTO, registration no. MH-47 today

The city has got a new registration number along with new RTO in Mumbai (Borivali). Diwakar Raote, state transport minister has done the inauguration of this RTO in Dahisar. He told that the project was getting delayed since 5 years and now it is finally getting launched.

Those individuals who have their vehicle registrations under the Andheri RTO (MH-02) and reside in between Dahisar and Goregaon need to transfer their records from Andheri to the new RTO in Mumbai.

In case of learners’ licenses, people who have taken their online appointments already for Andheri RTO will now go to the previous office for the computerized tests. The Mumbai RTO registration in Borivali is expecting to commence the vehicle registration by 5th May.

The data of the all those people post-2006 will get transferred internally and all those who have done registration before 2006 will be required to visit Andheri for NOC. So for Mumbai RTO registration, it will be only a 1 day process. Once the certificate is issued, it needs to get deposited at the new RTO in Borivali.
